THE Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (KVMRT) Malaysia First MRT Project

Klang Valley MRT was proposed in 2010 and start construction on 8 July 2011 under the business name of MRT Corp. Malaysia's MRT will be connected to existing LRT, KTM Komuter, KLIA Express and KLIA Transit Systems. It is planned to archieve 50% journey coverage in from the centre locus of Klang Valley / Greater KL. When completed, there will be 31 MRT stations with MRT travels on elevated and some underground alignments. Buloh-Kajang MRT lane, total length 51km, with 58 trains (manufactured by SIEMENS, desingned by BMW USA) will be operating allowing for one train every 3.5 minutes during peak hours (speed 70-100 km/hours). Each MRT train will be driverless, made up of four cars, each capable of carrying around 300 passangers.
