Ranau Hits By Flash Flood 10 Days After Earthquake

Kampung Mesilau, Kundasang Ranau, situated at foot of the Mount Kinabalu got hit by an other life threatening natural disaster, flash flood and mudslides, only 10 days after 5.9 richter scale Kinabalu earthquake last week. Flash flood carrying heavy mud soil occured at 3pm along a few rivers including Sungai Kadaminan, Sungai Mesilau and Sungai Liwagu. Fire fighters rescue team react quickly by surveyed the ground before attempted to rescue local affected vilagers. Muddy flash flood already destroyed main bridge to Kundasang. Heavy flood stream however makes it difficult for the rescue team to cross the river and significantly slowing down their rescue effort.
