RM117Million Worth of Cash Money, Luxury Cars, Watches, Jewelleries, Malaysia's Biggest Corruption Bust Ever

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency (MACC) has made its biggest blue-collar crime bust ever in 49 years history, following the arrest of the director and deputy-director of Sabah water department. Total RM117million. The seize is part of the early actions from a year of ongoing intelligence gathering and surveillance, involving those corrupt officials abuse their power, monopoly, money laundering since 2010 giving out infrastructure contractor projects, including of no less than RM3.3billion worth of federal government water-related projects, to only certain companies and their relatives.



RM53.7million cash money found stashed in safes, cupboards, drawers and car boots that took 30 anti-corruption officials more than 15 hours to count. MACC also found 127 land titles appraised at RM60million, nine luxury cars BMW 535i, Mercedes-Benz C300, Range Rover SE V8, Mazda6, Volvo XC60. Lexus ES, Audi A1 and Ford Ranger worth in total of RM3million, expensive watches of luxury brands eg: Patek Philippe, Tag Heuer, Rolex, Cartier and Guess, substantial amount of jewelleries and 94 high-end handbags such as Chanel, Burberry, Versace, Louis Vuitton and Hermes used by the director's wife, also includes RM1.18million foreign cash money and other RM60million money trails in local and overseas bank accounts of both arrested senior government workers.
