Malaysia 1st Ever MotoGP Team Petronas Yamaha SRT

Since the inclusion of Hafizh Syahrin in 2018 MotoGP, Malaysia has moved one step further in MotoGP arena. Starting 2019, Malaysia is gonna represented with own homegrown MotoGP team, a factory team of Malaysia's Sepang International Circuit, the Petronas Yamaha Sepang Racing Team or short Petronas Yamaha SRT.

Notice the wealthy sponsors right above? "SIC" the Malaysian International Grand Prix track owner and "Petronas" the Malaysian oil conglomerate, both are mega entities comes with world class management and almost unmatched in funding, hence we can expect this Malaysia's debut in MotoGP as competitive and everlasting team in MotoGP starting next year 2019 onward.

Petronas Yamaha SIC is a brand new 2019 MotoGP satellite team engulfing Angel Nieto Racing Team (ANRT). Hence former owner of ANRT Mr Jorge Martínez "Aspar" updated his grand prix resume as Petronas Yamaha SIC sporting advisor.

Petronas Yamaha SIC MotoGP riders?
They for a fact was searching for qualified Malaysian rider for the new MotoGP team, but found none. But then they finally made their choice which could challenged our first national MotoGP rider Hafizh Syahrin in Red Bull KTM Tech3, since Petronas Yamaha SIC readily confirmed their first two-year MotoGP riders contract for the team.

1. Franco Morbidelli
A protege of MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi, ranked 15th overall in 2018 MotoGP hence entitled him as Rookie of The Year, an Italian rider.

2. Fabio Quartararo
A reigning Moto2 champion, finished 10th overall in 2018 Moto2, a French rider.

Petronas Yamaha SIC grand prix machine?
The YZR-M1 factory specs latest 2019 version for Morbidelli and 2018 version for Quantararo for MotoGP seasons 2019. The Yamaha contract extends further for year 2020 and 2021.

The Big Start
It looks like the Petronas Yamaha SIC has no time playing around, SIC CEO Dato' Ahmad Razlan aiming for a big debut, Morbidelli to rank top 10 in MotoGP 2019.
